Brackets Adobe

I opened a file using the Brackets code editor today and saw this notice on the bottom of the editor screen:

Admittedly, I’m not a frequent user of Brackets. However, there are times when it was just the tool I needed to write a small piece of JavaScript or make minor changes to an HTML or CSS file.

If you are an avid Brackets user, it’s worth looking at alternatives or, as the message suggests, fork the project on GitHub. As the site states:

Through Adobe’s partnership with Microsoft, we encourage users to migrate to Visual Studio Code, Microsoft’s free code editor built on open source.

GitHub – adobe/brackets: An open source code editor for the web, written in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

As for me, I think I’ll simply uninstall it. Between Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and the JetBrains suite of IDE’s, I have enough to bench strength as it is.
